Each model has been designed from scratch to make the ultimate drivers car, using the latest parts, technology and built for performance and perfection by our experienced team. The series comprises of the R300, R400 and R500 with each name denoted from the power to weight ratio making our cars amongst the lightest and fastest cars you can buy.

ENGINE

The Honda K20 engine is extremely highly developed and revs to 9500rpm with max torque at 8500rpm - this ultra-high rev ceiling being achieved by the deletion of the VTEC system. A single-seater-derived clutch and flywheel contribute to the all-up weight of only 83kgs. This means this engine is as light as the original Rover K series, famed for its light weight, yet producing almost three times the power. R400/300 get less extreme Honda engine configurations for track and road use.

SUSPENSION & BRAKES

The suspension and braking systems receive the same level of attention, with carbon brake discs and pads, completely rebuilt and subtly re-engineered brake calipers, motorsport-grade steel brake lines, and flexible hoses. All are hooked up to a dual-cylinder pedal box with an integral brake bias adjuster, displaying the bias in real time on the dash display.

INTERIOR & TECHNOLOGY

While the exterior retains the classic Elise look, the interior receives a significant upgrade. A motorsport PDM (power distribution module) and dash display with extensive data logging facilities mean that all the important information the driver needs is readily available, whilst switchable maps, traction control and brake bias are all at the fingertips of the driver. Carbon seats with four-point harnesses complete the interior and add to driver feel and feedback from the chassis.  

GEARBOX

The straight-cut, dog-engagement racing gearbox coupled with the bespoke billet gear shifter gives the ultimate feeling of connection for the driver. Clutchless gear changes up and down the box is a must due to the seriously low inertia of the engine. R400/300 get a less race or track-focused gearbox with an excellent Honda 6-speed unit. 

CARBON BODY & PANELS

The entire body has been re-created in lightweight but extremely strong pre-preg carbon fibre whilst retaining the iconic style of the original Series One Elise. The team engaged with Innovative Composites, a leading supplier, to create the bodywork and panels. Bespoke quick-release fixings are installed on the boot lid and bonnet. The super-lightweight body is fixed to the car with similarly lightweight titanium fixings throughout. R400 gets the same bespoke body, whilst R300 gets a GRP body with the option to upgrade to carbon. 

CHASSIS

Fully rose-jointed wishbones with bespoke uprights give a wider track than standard whilst motorsport-grade, twin-blade anti-roll bars front and rear mean the roll stiffness of the car can be fine-tuned at the circuit in seconds. The extreme lightweight nature of the car means the custom-valved, 3-way adjustable springs and dampers on the R500 – and 2-way units on the R400 – are soft enough to provide a comfortable and compliant ride, yet firm enough to support the car in the harshest conditions.
